Spinal Decompression and Other Services Available

We incorporate other complementary services and treatment modalities at our wellness center because every patient is unique. Some treatments work very well with some, and not so much for others. And some methods work very well in combination with others. It is always a good idea to have more than one tool in your toolbox.

Here are some other techniques Dr. Adam finds effective when dealing with a wide array of conditions that present at our center:

Spinal decompression

Spinal Decompression is computer directed and controlled stretching (axial traction) that provides increased circulation to the discs and surrounding tissues.  There is a unique ability to treat disc injuries such as bulging and herniated discs and facet (spinal joint) problems with this type of therapy.  This is not your grandmother’s traction but a controlled application of force to the spine to help with radiating pain that goes down the arms and/or legs. Spinal Decompression can work wonders when all other treatment efforts have failed.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is no longer covered under Florida Personal Injury law but it is still available to patients that request it as part of their treatment.  Acupuncture is the eastern discipline that provides for the balancing to the body’s energy flows and allows the body to use its own natural recuperative powers to heal itself.

The use of acupuncture points to re-direct energy that has become stagnant and the use of Chinese herbs to assist that body in healing work synergistically with chiropractic care and physical therapy to improve pain outcomes.  Increasing circulation by stimulation of acupuncture points speeds healing, releases endorphins to assist with pain relief and allows the body to heal more quickly.

Even the emotional symptoms such as anxiety, insomnia, depression which are often associated with traumatic injuries can be treated using  acupuncture.  Dr. Robert Herbst and Dr. Landon Agoado are recognized as two of the top acupuncturists in South Florida.  They have taught acupuncture at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, have over a decade of experience and are uniquely equipped to treat many types of chronic and acute injuries. Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is well recognized as a treatment of choice for traumatic injuries.  It is utilized to relax spastic muscles and improve circulation to speed healing and decrease the level of pain.  Patients are often so stressed out about their injuries and trying to maintain their normal work and school schedules and responsibilities at home that relaxation therapy becomes a very important part of treatment, besides it feels so good! We have highly skilled and trained licensed massage therapists at our Margate location for your therapeutic needs.

Homeopathy and Injection Therapy

Homeopathic Injection Therapy is a method of injecting safe, organic homeopathic remedies into specific areas on the body to reduce pain, spasm and inflammation.  We use only safe, natural, and effective FDA approved homeopathic solutions from GUNA and HEEL. We find it very effective in addressing many chronic and acute pain issues especially low back pain, neck and shoulder pain, as well as knee pain and elbow pain.
